Why VidPatch exists
A full video editor is useful for a large production, but it is often unnecessary when you only need a smaller file, a different format, a vertical crop, silent audio, or one clean thumbnail. VidPatch keeps those common jobs in one focused workspace.
Local-first by design
Video processing happens inside your browser. Your video is not uploaded to a VidPatch server, and you do not need to create an account. This also means processing speed depends on your own device and the size of the file.
How the project is supported
VidPatch is free to use. The project may be supported by voluntary Ko-fi contributions and clearly marked advertising. These help cover the domain, development, and maintenance without putting the core tools behind a subscription.
Built for responsible creators
VidPatch works with files already on your device. Use it only for videos you created or have permission to edit. It is not a YouTube or social-media downloader and does not bypass platform protections.
